The short answer

Supercars says 17 of the 24 seats for the 2027 Repco Supercars Championship are formally confirmed, with little change from 2026. Five teams keep the same line-ups, and David Reynolds is still without a deal at Team 18.

The 2027 Repco Supercars Championship grid is close to complete, with 17 of the 24 seats formally confirmed and little change from 2026. Supercars described it as an unusually quiet year for the driver market.

Brodie Kostecki and Kai Allen are both signed with Triple Eight through 2029. Five teams will run unchanged line-ups for a third straight season: Penrite, Red Bull Ampol, Tickford, Walkinshaw TWG and Blanchard.

What changed late in the season

General Motors' late-season driver swap between Erebus Motorsport and PremiAir Racing added some movement to the market. Cooper Murray has signed with PremiAir through 2028. Jayden Ojeda stays alongside him for a second year at the Gold Coast team. At Erebus, Jobe Stewart was announced on a multi-year deal running to at least 2027, and CEO Barry Ryan called Jarrod Hughes staying on a near formality. Blanchard Racing Team has also extended Aaron Cameron to at least 2028.

Who is still to be settled

  • Team 18 has Anton De Pasquale and David Reynolds both out of contract. Expectation is that De Pasquale stays, but Reynolds has no 2027 deal.
  • Team 18 has said it is in no rush to settle its line-up. Matt Payne is under contract, so the team must wait at least one more year on that seat.
  • Team owner Matt Stone has indicated Le Brocq and Bates will probably stay with his team.
  • Rookie Rylan Gray at Dick Johnson Racing and Macauley Jones at Brad Jones Racing have not had their 2027 plans formally announced, but both are expected to return.

Reynolds took a podium at the Gold Coast and has said he wants to keep driving. Le Brocq reached the Finals, and Bates raced from pole to a podium at Bathurst.

Names to watch

Lochie Dalton and Harri Jones, who both impressed in the endurance races, are two names that may emerge. Dalton, close to the Super2 title after a strong enduro showing for Erebus, said at Bathurst he felt he had the runs on the board to try to make that next step, and hoped something would come up. Jones finished fourth at Bathurst and has also just taken his third Porsche Carrera Cup Australia crown. He said he would like to go full time and would grab any opportunity to do so.
