The Super2 Series will contest seven rounds in 2027, its longest season since 2019, Supercars said. The calendar adds a standalone round at Mallala Motor Sport Park in South Australia, the first standalone Super2 event since Wakefield Park in 2008 and the series' first visit to Mallala since 2006.

Mallala will be the second round, held on the Anzac Day weekend. It falls while Supercars equipment is sea freighted across the Tasman Sea for the New Zealand Double Header, giving Super2 an extra weekend of racing.
