The short answer

Ferrari opened its Universo Ferrari exhibition in New Delhi on Saturday, the first time the show has been held in India. It features the Luce, the SF-26 Formula 1 car, the 499P and the F80, and is open to the public until 1 November. Ferrari also plans new retail openings in India by the end of 2026.

Ferrari has taken Universo Ferrari to India for the first time, and the Luce is on show. The immersive exhibition opened in New Delhi on Saturday, with a display of the car and a separate exhibition on how it was made. Ferrari announced the opening on 19 October; the public can visit until 1 November.

What is on show

The Racing area holds the Scuderia Ferrari SF-26 Formula 1 car, the 499P that has won Le Mans three times and the 296 GT3. Next to them stands the 296 Challenge, which Ferrari describes as the first six-cylinder car in its single-make series. Ferrari Hypersail, the company's sailing project, is part of the show too.

  • Sports Cars: the 849 Testarossa Spider, the 12Cilindri Spider, the Amalfi Spider and the F80, which Ferrari calls its latest supercar.
  • Luce: the car itself, plus an exhibition on the ideas, technologies and craftsmanship behind the project.
  • Icona: the Daytona SP3 and a display of its 840-cv V12 engine.
  • Classiche: the F50, the 365 GTB4 and a dedicated exhibition space.
  • Tailor Made: a 12Cilindri Manuale showing the range of personalisation available.

One car has a history in the country. A 612 Scaglietti on display took part in the 2008 Magic India Discovery tour, a 13,000-km drive across India with more than 50 international journalists at the wheel. Ferrari treats it as the first real evidence of its presence there.

Ten cities, ten cars

A dedicated project pairs Tailor Made configurations with Indian cities. Five 12Cilindri and five Purosangue each carry a scheme inspired by one place: Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Varanasi and Goa. Students from the National Institute of Design contributed ideas, and the Ferrari Design Studio turned them into finished colours, materials and patterns.

A longer commitment to India

Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna inaugurated the exhibition. He said the first Indian edition reflects how much weight Ferrari puts on a lasting relationship with the country and its growing community of owners and enthusiasts. Ferrari describes India as a fast-growing market and says it plans new retail openings in South and Western India by the end of 2026.

The opening weekend was reserved for clients, media, partners and institutions, among them Antonio Bartoli, the Italian ambassador to India. Before it, 25 Ferraris drove roughly 1,800 kilometers from Mumbai through Vadodara, Udaipur, Jaipur and Agra to New Delhi.

A charity auction of ten lots was held during the client dinner, raising money for Ferrari's work with Save the Children and Bal Raksha Bharat on education projects in India. Avelon Luxe was named at the same event as the Indian-based partner of the Ferrari Hypercar and Ferrari Challenge Middle East series.
