Nissan announced on 14 October that the 2027 Altima is on sale in the United States, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price from $27,790. The sedan comes in SV and SR grades, with a 2.5-litre engine rated at 188 horsepower in front-wheel drive form. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every car.
Nissan's 2027 Altima sedan is now on sale in the US, starting at $27,790 MSRP. The announcement came in mid-October. Two grades are offered: the well-equipped SV and the sports-inspired SR. That figure excludes destination and handling fees, tax, title and licence costs, and options. Dealers set the actual selling price.

Standard safety and driver assistance
Every 2027 Altima includes Nissan Safety Shield 360, which covers a blind spot warning, rear automatic braking and high beam assist. Nissan calls its Intelligent Forward Collision Warning class-exclusive. For highway driving, ProPILOT Assist is available, and it helps manage speed and steering. Nissan stresses that the driver must stay in control and that these systems have limits in some conditions. It adds that no single feature should be relied on to warn about, prevent or lessen a collision, and that drivers should keep watch on their surroundings.
Cabin and comfort
The seats are Zero Gravity models that Nissan describes as class-exclusive. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, wireless phone charging is available, and remote engine start comes standard too. Altima has both USB-A and USB-C ports. Nissan says the Altima has more front legroom, measured against base-model Toyota Camry and Honda Accord rivals. The rear seats split 60/40 and fold to take bulkier items alongside a trunk with 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space.
For colder weather, Nissan points to optional all-wheel drive, heated front seats and two-zone automatic climate control.
The SR grade
The SR is the more dynamic of the two. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, with glossy black exterior trim, carbon fibre centre console trim and sports exhaust finishers. Paddle shifters, active ride control and intelligent trace control come as standard, along with a sport suspension on front-wheel-drive models. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is available on the SR, and Nissan says it gives more confidence in varied weather.
