Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Dodge Durango vehicles in the United States. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has logged the recall as campaign 26V701, with a potential 13330 units affected.
NHTSA said the terminals in the tail light wiring harness may be damaged, which can cause the tail lights to fail. The vehicles therefore fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, which covers lamps, reflective devices and associated equipment. According to the agency, tail lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers and increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the tail light assemblies as necessary. The work is free of charge to owners. Chrysler's number for this recall is A2D, and owners can contact Chrysler customer service on 800-853-1403.
