Audi's US importer has filed a recall covering 9,048 Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron cars from the 2024 and 2025 model years. The high voltage battery may fail and cause a fire. Owners are told to charge to no more than 80 per cent until a repair, still under development, is ready.
Volkswagen Group of America has told US regulators it is recalling 9,048 Audi electric cars because their high voltage battery may fail and start a fire. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration lists the recall under campaign number 26V698.
The affected cars are certain 2024 and 2025 Q4 e-tron and Sportback versions. The component is given as the electrical system, propulsion system and traction battery.
The risk
