How did the Italian F4 and Red Bull junior years go?
Edgar was named one of four new Red Bull Junior Team signings in September 2017, alongside Dennis Hauger, Jack Doohan and Harry Thompson. He made his car racing debut in 2019 in the Italian F4 Championship with Jenzer Motorsport, scoring two podiums and finishing tenth on 97 points.
That year he also took part in selected ADAC Formula 4 rounds as a guest driver. For 2020 he signed with Van Amersfoort Racing for the ADAC series, partnering fellow Red Bull junior Jak Crawford.
He won the ADAC Formula 4 title by two points from Crawford. In the Italian championship he finished fourth overall, winning at Imola and in the season finale at Vallelunga despite missing two race weekends.

Edgar joined Carlin for 2021 after a post-season test, partnering Ido Cohen and Kaylen Frederick. He qualified 12th and started from pole on his debut through the reverse grid, then finished fifth to take his first points in Formula 3.
His most successful round came at the Red Bull Ring, where he qualified 18th and finished sixth, fifth and tenth in the three races. He scored no points after that round and finished 18th in the standings, with all but two of Carlin's points that year coming from him.
In September 2021 Edgar was nominated for the Autosport BRDC Award and selected as one of four finalists, alongside Louis Foster, Oliver Bearman and eventual winner Zak O'Sullivan.
Why did Edgar leave Trident in 2022?
Edgar joined Trident for 2022 as one of the title favourites, but he finished outside the top ten in both races of the opening round. He later revealed a diagnosis of Crohn's disease, which had caused major weight loss over the winter and made driving very hard. He pulled out after round one.
He returned at Silverstone, having improved sufficiently to race again, and scored his first points of the season with eighth in the feature race. He kept scoring in Austria, where he finished seventh in the sprint, before a collision caused by Caio Collet at the safety car restart ended his feature race.
He finished the season by scoring points in all of the remaining six races, the only driver to manage that feat. He ended twelfth in the standings. Trident was runner-up in the teams' championship, and Edgar had become the highest-placed driver to have missed at least two rounds.
How did his 2023 Formula 3 season finish?
Edgar moved to MP Motorsport for 2023 after a successful test. He managed just two points in the first four rounds, but he returned to the top ten in Austria with fifth and sixth place finishes.

He also drove at Sebring and Watkins Glen in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. At Sebring he finished fourth, piloting a Ligier JS P217 chassis when the rest of the LMP2 field used the Oreca 07.

Spa-Francorchamps gave AO a win from pole, which was his first outright victory in sportscar racing. Fifth at Mugello set up a title decider at Portimao, where a penalty handed to the title rivals at Inter Europol Competition by mistake helped AO to second place and the title.
What did the 2025 WEC and IMSA campaign bring?
In 2025 Edgar became a full-time driver in the WEC's LMGT3 category with TF Sport, driving a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R alongside the factory driver Daniel Juncadella and the bronze-ranked Ben Keating. His first GT victory came at the season opener in Qatar, after a clean race and a strong defence by Juncadella in the final hour.
A one-off IMSA GTD entry for AO Racing at Long Beach saw Edgar qualify second. Using the older tyres at the sole pit stop, he enabled Laurens Vanthoor to take the lead and win.
The WEC campaign became harder after that, with the team never finishing better than sixth across the remaining seven races. The team finished sixth in the championship, narrowly behind its sister car. In IMSA, Edgar helped the full-time drivers Dane Cameron and P. J. Hyett win the LMP2 title for AO.
How did the 2026 Le Mans win come together?
The No. 33 car took control of the race's second half after its bronze driver, Ben Keating, had completed his minimum drive time in the first eight hours. Edgar drove the final five stints, and the team celebrated the LMGT3 class victory with Nicky Catsburg.
Earlier in 2026 at Imola, Edgar fought Tom Fleming for the lead before being forced to concede, and the No. 33 crew still took second place. At Spa they finished eighth.
