The short answer

On 28 October Toyota unveiled a one-off Crown Signia GT-S Concept for the 2026 SEMA show, created by its Motorsports Garage. Widebody fenders, 21-inch HRE wheels on 295 mm tyres and Lexus-sourced brake calipers accompany a ride height nearly 130 mm below the standard car's.

Toyota has taken the family-minded Crown Signia and given it the stance of a sports car. The Crown Signia GT-S Concept, announced on 28 October for the 2026 SEMA show, was built by the Toyota Motorsports Garage and sits nearly 130 mm lower than the standard 2026 car.

The idea, Toyota says, is a vehicle with room for family, friends and luggage that still looks right on a canyon road. The company calls the result a grand touring machine, one that pairs daily practicality and comfort with sports-car attitude and feel.

Body and cabin

From a distance the changes look restrained, with clean body lines and low SUV proportions. Then the stance gives the game away. Toyota fitted integrated widebody fenders and an aero package, reshaped the headlight surrounds with red accents, and revised the rear end. Together they alter the car's proportions while, in the company's words, keeping the elegance of the original design.

The paint is a custom-mixed dark gray metallic with added flakes and several coats of clear. At the back, the custom exhaust ends in trapezoidal tips set into the rear aero package. Inside, the front seats are highly bolstered and trimmed with red accents, carrying the performance theme into the cabin.

Suspension, brakes and wheels

Most of the work is underneath. The concept rides on one-off MCS coil-overs, which is how it ends up nearly 130 mm closer to the road than a stock Crown Signia. Toyota says that gives it a road-hugging posture.

Stopping duties go to very large calipers at both ends, adapted from the Lexus RX 500h F SPORT. The wheels are special-built 21-inch units from HRE, wrapped in tyres 295 mm wide. Toyota estimates that gives about 20 per cent more contact than the stock version.

A project car, not a product

Toyota describes the concept as a touring version of the Crown Signia for drivers who believe head-turning style and practicality can go together. It is a special project prototype, however. Toyota notes that it carries parts and accessories the company does not offer, that these may void the warranty, and that they can affect performance and safety. The car may also not be street legal, so nothing here points to a production model.

The announcement came from Toyota Canada, which distributes Toyota and Lexus vehicles there.
