For the ten months they reached 2.638 million units, up 12.3 percent, which is 73.7 percent of group volume and 9.3 percentage points more than at this point last year.

Overseas sales
Exports and overseas production are growing faster than the home market. Between January and October SAIC sold 1.328 million vehicles abroad, up 54 percent, and 163,000 of them were sold in October alone, 67.3 percent more than a year before.
Europe remains the largest overseas region. MG sold 320,000 cars there over the ten months, up 24.7 percent. In the United Kingdom the company reports more than 18,000 MG sales in September, the best month the brand has had in that market. German buyers placed more than 16,000 orders for the MG4 EV Urban, and MG orders across its German range were up 177 percent year on year in the third quarter. In Poland, September sales climbed 88 percent, and the cumulative figure through September was 44 percent higher than a year earlier.
What SAIC expects next
The group points to a run of recent launches, among them the new IM LS6, the SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 8X and the Roewe Jiayue 07, as the models carrying demand into the final stretch of the year. With those cars ramping up production and the year-end buying peak under way, SAIC says it expects to keep monthly sales rising and to push full-year results higher.
