The FIA and WRC Promoter have confirmed the 2027 Junior WRC calendar: five European rounds in Sweden, Croatia, Italy, Finland and Scotland. The champion will get an expanded seven-round WRC2 prize drive, Hankook will supply free tyres, and the best four results from five rounds will count.
The FIA and WRC Promoter have confirmed a five-round 2027 Junior WRC calendar and a set of changes aimed at making the series more accessible. All five rounds will be run in Europe, which the FIA says will limit travel and transport costs for competitors.
The rounds are Sweden, Croatia, Italy, Finland and Scotland. The season opens on the snow and ice of Rally Sweden, then moves to the asphalt stages of Croatia Rally, with Rally d'Italia hosting the third round. The FIA says the mix keeps a range of surfaces and conditions for emerging drivers to learn on.
What changes for 2027
- Prize drive: the Junior WRC champion will receive an expanded seven-round WRC2 prize drive.
- Tyres: Hankook will provide an allocation of free tyres to Junior WRC crews throughout the season.
- Scoring: the best four results from five rounds will count towards the final classification.
The governing body describes the package as a way to strengthen the championship's role as a development pathway for the next generation of rally drivers. By holding every round in Europe and adding free tyres, the FIA says the changes are designed to ease the financial and logistical demands of competing at international level.
