Turner Motorsport took pole, third overall and a class win at the Indianapolis 8 Hour, while BMW M customer teams claimed titles in the Nordschleife, Italy and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
Several BMW M customer teams took championships in early October 2026, according to BMW M Motorsport. At the Indianapolis 8 Hour, the Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 EVO started from pole, finished third overall and won the Pro Cup class. Adrenalin Motorsport Team Mainhattan Wheels clinched the overall Nurburgring NLS title with a class win at the season finale.
BMW M Motorsport says its customer teams won a string of championships in the second week of October, led by Turner Motorsport at the Indianapolis 8 Hour. The BMW M4 GT3 EVO that the team fielded there started from pole, finished third overall and took the Pro Cup class win. The result also gave the Turner drivers Robby Foley and Justin Rothberg the GT World Challenge America title.
Indianapolis and the American titles
Foley and Rothberg, who raced with Connor De Phillippi in the Indianapolis 8 Hour, won the title for the third year running. It was their first Pro Cup season after two Pro-Am titles, and Foley said the car was a rocket. The team had missed out on the IMSA GTD title at Road Atlanta the week before, which made the win at Indianapolis a clear redemption for Turner.
Two other BMW M4 GT3 EVO teams, Random Vandals Racing and Riley Technologies, came eighth and ninth in Pro-Am. In the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, Austin Krainz and Stevan McAleer finished third in the GS class in the AutoTechnic Racing BMW M4 GT4 EVO, which secured that championship.
Nordschleife and Italy
On the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Adrenalin Motorsport Team Mainhattan Wheels took the NLS title at the four-hour season finale. Sven Markert, Jannik Fubrich and Edoardo Bugane entered the race with a four-point lead and won their class in the BMW M240i Racing Cup. BMW says this made eleven overall wins in a row for its M teams on the Nordschleife, a streak that dates back to 2016.
Schubert Motorsport won the NLS Speed Trophy title, with Tim Tramnitz and Jordan Pepper finishing third in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. Alexandru Vasilescu took the Gentleman Trophy and the SP10 class title in an AV Racing by BLACK FALCON BMW M4 GT4 EVO.
In Italy, Jens Klingmann took his third drivers' title in the Italian GT Sprint Championship at Monza. He finished seventh in the final race, which was enough because he and his rivals were level on points and wins, and Klingmann had one more second place. Ugo de Wilde shared the car.
The near misses
Not every title went BMW's way. BMW says its drivers narrowly missed out on the DTM, ADAC GT Masters and ADAC GT4 Germany championships in the final race, and FK Performance Motorsport took the ADAC GT Masters team title. The Hockenheim weekend was described as extremely unlucky.
Lellmann, BMW M Motorsport's head of customer racing, described the period as the weeks of decision in the 2026 season.
