Acura has set out a North American product roadmap that adds an 8-passenger SUV, a new V6 hybrid and a fourth-generation RDX.
Acura has shared a North American business roadmap with its US dealers that includes three new SUVs. The first is an adventure-ready model due in the first part of 2028, followed by an 8-passenger SUV described as the brand's largest ever. Acura also says a fourth-generation RDX Hybrid arrives in 2028 with two-motor hybrid technology.
Acura has told its US dealers how it intends to grow, and the plan includes three new SUVs in the coming years. The first, an adventure-ready model, is due in the first part of 2028. The company says the strategy is aimed at reaching new segments where the brand does not compete today, and at building lifetime loyalty among owners as their needs change.
What is coming
Acura will add an 8-passenger SUV, which it describes as its largest ever. It will sit above the seven-passenger MDX and is still in development. The fourth-generation RDX Hybrid, due in 2028, will be the first Acura to use the brand's two-motor hybrid technology, which Acura describes as award-winning.
A new V6 hybrid powertrain is also in development for D-segment models. Acura says it will offer sporty performance, better towing and efficiency gains.
Gary Robinson, vice president of auto strategy at American Honda, said Acura is moving into the most sought-after segments while holding its lead in gateway segments through the Integra and ADX. He framed the plan as a way to build a strong and sustainable future for the brand.
Sales context
Acura says its sales rose 4.4% over the first three quarters of 2026, and it claims to be outpacing several established luxury rivals. The MDX, which the company calls the industry's best-selling three-row luxury SUV of all time, grew by more than 25% over the period. The ADX and Integra each lead their segments in retail sales, according to the company.
Eiji Fujimura, president and CEO of American Honda, said the business is built around customer needs, with products that offer value for money at a premium level. Jessika Laudermilk, assistant vice president of Acura National Sales, said affordability matters more than ever, and that gateway models such as the ADX and Integra can bring new buyers to the brand while keeping loyal customers.
All three of the ADX, Integra and MDX will get meaningful enhancements for the 2027 model year, Acura says. The current 2026 range has four models: the Integra sport sedan and the ADX, RDX and MDX SUVs. About 85% of the Acura vehicles sold in America in 2025 were made in America, using both domestic and globally sourced parts.
